Shirley's Bird Toys

Shirley’s long time love of birds inspired her to start her own business, Crafty Bird Toys by Shirley.

Watching her own cockatiel and helping care for the birds here at the studio Shirley observed them playing with toys and noticed the birds soon lost interest with store bought toys.

She came up with the idea to make toys cockatiels could play with and take apart. The toys would be ever changing until there was nothing left. Busy birds are happy birds. Cockatiels are very smart and need to be active. Shirley designed her toys to exercise the cockatiels imaginations as well as their bodies.

Shirley made up varied designs and tested her prototypes with our 20+ cockatiels. She was thrilled to see them enjoying her new toy designs. Her toys are designed using all the bird’s favorite things to play with. Her toys can be purchased through Horse and Buggy Feeds or by contacting us.
